I just wanted to express our true gratitude and to let you know just how wonderful it is to be overwhelmed by the kindness, dedication, work, and true faithfulness of the our Teamsters. Yesterday was beyond anything we could have imagined or hoped for. The excitement builds as we all run out to see the big truck make a unbelievable turn in the middle of the highway and then back into a narrow driveway, not once but twice, I don’t even know how they do that.
The building is full to the brim, today is sorting and boxing up day. Then the miracle of the Teamster Christmas begins as families receive much needed food and toys. Over these many years now, the stories we have all got to be a part of is what we will always remember in the end. Like the song played at the Veterans event, “You Can’t Make Old Friends” I am reminded that there is no one like the Teamsters, you were the first to ever help me when I was a struggling social worker trying to make a difference, and that is how we all became “Old Friends”. We have made a lot of memories together.
Perhaps at your next meeting or otherwise when you see them please let them know they, each and every one, that to us they are true Christmas Angels. Scott Foley and his staff and volunteers are some happy folks this Sunday morning, there is much excitement here today, and as Scott has said many times the kids we help will never forget. God Bless you all, Merry Christmas Kellie and all the gang.
Much love and big hugs!
